If you are already confident that you know what keywords you want to rank for and you have your website optimised for the search engines then you will require backlinks to reach your goals. I have experience in building thousands of backlinks to business websites in many industries.
I base my link building around a long term, sustainable approach that does not put your website at risk. This strategy focuses on a mix of quality and quantity so that you get a diverse profile that ticks all the right boxes for the search engines.
For the quality side of things I take the approach of building a custom network of sites that are related to your own business. I craft at least 5 – 10 pages of content for each of the sites and blogs to give them both relevancy and the depth that search engines desire. Then I will strategically place links on these sites to your business’s website.
Web 2.0 Links
To give sufficient quantity, I create pages on what are known as Web 2.0 sites. These can be blogging sites such as Tumblr and WordPress or community sites and information/reference sites.
These will generally only have 1-2 pages of unique content on each depending on which ones are used.
Tier 2 Links
It is one thing to build backlinks to your site but it is another altogether to build backlinks to those backlinks. But this is a highly effective strategy for many reasons.
I’ve spent years carefully analysing Google’s patents and working out what they are looking for when it comes to websites and their backlinks. They want relevancy and they want authority and while for some industries it might be possible to get top rankings with blog links and Web 2.0 links alone, for competitive industries a second layer of links helps give both of these things.
It is important to remember that these links will not point directly at your website but will rather bolster and strengthen those pages, sites and blogs I build in the first instance that DO link to your website.
So what do I use for these Tier 2 links? Well more Web 2.0 submissions is one thing I do along but I do them on a much larger scale using manually spun, but unique, content for each property. I utilise other sources of contextually relevant backlinks too and include social bookmarking into the mix to help give a natural look and feel.
Don’t worry if this is not making much sense right now, my results show that my approach is effective and I am completely confident that I can rank any local business for their chosen keywords.
